About
The fall season runs a 3-on-3 format built to maximize player development. With fewer players on the court, every athlete touches the ball more often and faces more decision-making opportunities per game than in traditional 5-on-5 play — games are fast, fun, and every player stays in the action.
Games are played Saturday nights at Gold Crown Fieldhouse in Lakewood from 3:00 to 10:00 pm. The clock is set at 23 minutes and runs continuously — no stoppages, not even for timeouts. A team wins by reaching 20 points first, or by holding the lead when the clock hits zero. Baskets count for 1 point; shots beyond the 3-point line count for 2.
Each team is guaranteed 8 season games over 5 Saturday nights (2 games per night), followed by a Single-Elimination Post-Season Tournament on October 24 with 1–3 additional games. Practices begin the week of September 7 and are scheduled around each team's availability once rosters are finalized.

Practice Locations
Practices begin the week of September 7. Schedule is set per team once rosters are finalized. Practices are held at one of our regular gym locations:
- Evergreen Country Day School
- Rocky Mountain Academy of Evergreen
- Evergreen Middle School
- Bergen Elementary School

Registration and Tryout Details
Registration
- Required for all players. Registration does not require attendance.
- Completely free. Registration deadline: August 23.
- These tryouts are for the fall season only. Winter evaluation is a separate process.
- For optimal placement, attending tryouts is required.
- Returning ESA 25–26 players are not required to attend but it's strongly recommended for optimal placement. You must still register.
Tryout Dates
Tryouts are held on: Tuesday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 26 at TBD. If a makeup is needed, reach out to us and we will consider.

After Tryouts
- Selected for a team — You'll receive a PlayMetrics invitation by August 30. You have a 48-hour window to accept — if you miss it, your player's spot may be forfeited.
- Not selected — We'll send you an email to let you know. That email may also include an offer for your player to join a team as a practice player — a great way to stay engaged, keep developing, and earn a spot on a team next season.
